A Pokémon with Hyper Cutter cannot have its Attack stat lowered by moves or Abilities. This includes any self-inflicted stat drops, but excludes effects that do not alter stat stages. Haze and Clear Smog will still reset the stat stages, other than Attack, of a Pokémon with Hyper Cutter.
Outside of battle[]
Hyper Cutter has no effect outside of battle.
